WELCOME!
We are a new organization arranged to coordinate worldwide
historic preservation efforts at the local level.
Our mission is to develop economically sustainable cities
through tourism generated by the conservation and rehabilitation
of historic structures.
In cities throughout the world there are buildings whose
cultural and historic value is often neither recognized nor appreciated
by both the local community and visitors to the area. As a result,
many structures which make up the built heritage are neglected
and left to deteriorate. They may eventually be demolished to
make way for newer, yet not always better structures .
It is our intent to help communities identify and preserve
their built heritage which in turn will contribute to cultural
values and tourism. The identification of one's heritage is a
great stepping stone to understanding one's culture and instilling
pride and hope into the life of a community.
We need to restore the beauty which once lined the streets
of cities, towns and villages all over the world and in so doing,
restore a sense of place for many thousands of people.
